Barbara Reid Napangardi (b. 1962), of the Pintupi people, paints ancestral stories of bush food and birth ceremonies. Her works depict sacred rituals like the infant smoking ceremony, using Pintupi iconography and vivid textures. She paints sacred sites, women, and native foods through rich colour and symbol. Her bold style is internationally recognised and collected.
